As a younger child, she used to go to the pharmacy to get these golden candies. In Danish 'Bolsjer' means hard candy, which is why she titled this specific piece of art that. Gugger Petter most likely created this piece because it brought her back to her childhood. She didn't only make this works of art to please herself and bring back her own memories, but for others too. For many other Danish people this is a pleasant memory also. Gugger Petter grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. These hard candies were very popular there, and gave the children something to look forward to. I chose this particular piece of art, because of the way she did it. I have never seen anything like it. You could tell she put a lot of time and effort into something that meant a lot to her, and many other people from Copenhagen. In this art piece made out of newspaper, I could see the color variations and the combinations of different newspaper sections she used.
